Be still and know,
for I am the Lord,
your God,
whose ways are
higher than your ways.
For without Me
you can do little,
but through Me
you can do all things—
for those who abide in Me,
heeding only My word,
walking only My way,
and loving others
as only I have shown you
to love them.
I abide in thee also,
for My spirit dwelleth in all who
abide in Me.
So remain in Me,
and you shall be fruitful,
as branches that connect you
to the vine—
the Lord Jesus Christ.
And you, faithful servants
shall receive My eternal promise;
but as you continue to deny Me,
you shall wither and fall
far from Me
and be cast into the fire.
So I say unto you
weary, wandering souls:
do not be the Michal’s
who hold the David’s in contempt,
for they care not for
the souls of men,
nor for their own.
They only care to
look distinguished before men
and forsake the ways of the Lord,
their God.
Rather, be as the David’s,
who make many sacrifices
unto God
and are distinguished
in the Lord’s sight;
for they would rather
humiliate themselves
in the eyes of men
by singing and dancing
unto the Lord
with all their might.
And the Lord will
never forsake you,
even in your troubles,
for you have done good in His eyes.
All He asks is:
you love, obey, and worship Him
with all your heart;
and in your trials
be still and know—
He is the Almighty Lord,
your God.
